‘Proposed Miyetti vigilance group ploy to infiltrate South East’

Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN’s) proposal for establishment of Fulani Vigilante in the South East yesterday suffered another setback.

This followed Senior Pastor, Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Chris Okafor’s rejection of the proposal, which he described as a deliberate ploy to infiltrate the region.

He said the idea would not materialise adding: “This is a demonic and satanic takeover to Islamism in the country and it will never work.”

Okafor made the remark while speaking with newsmen at the end of the Church annual outreach programme tagged: Two Nights With The King in Lagos.

On the state of the nation, the cleric condemned the move and urged Nigerians to speak out against all government’s unpopular policies.

“If people are afraid to talk, we are not afraid. We have been speaking and nothing will happen, we are here as long as Nigeria belongs to all of us.

“We have people, we know our terrain better. You can’t guard my house better than I will do. So, if we at any time we needed vigilante in Igbo land, we should engage our own people. That is why people are advocating for state police,” he said.
