The Allied People’s Movement (APM), called on the federal government to provide adequate palliatives to ameliorate the hardship in Nigeria.

National Chairman of APM, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, in a statement, said that it is a good thing to celebrate the Yuletide with Christians around the world which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, the saviour of mankind.

Dantalle said: “The occasion calls for prayers, sober reflection on the life of Jesus Christ and renewal of faith in God and the nation as we strive to build a better democratic society.

“APM feels the pains of Nigerians and calls on the federal and state governments to provide adequate palliatives to ameliorate the hardship the people face due to the removal of fuel subsidy.”

He said that the party is optimistic that 2024 will usher in the fruits of democracy as elected governments tackle socio-economic, political and security problems facing the nation.

He added, “As a mass movement, APM will remain in the vanguard for good governance and hold elected public officers accountable in national interest.

We wish you a merry Christmas.”
