Joint National Association of Persons Living with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Ekiti State chapter, has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the Disability Bill into law.

They made the call at a press conference by JONAPWD Chairman, Omotola Omotula and Secretary, Funso Olajide in Ado Ekiti.

In a related development, former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Dr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), yesterday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the Electoral Act (amendment) bill 2018.

In an open letter on the platform of Human Rights Law Service, (HURILAW) the activist lamented that the bill has not been signed into law three months into the general elections.

He said: “It is therefore important that you sign the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2018. This will enable the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), political parties and the courts to discharge their responsibilities effectively.”
