The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), through its charity arm, His Love Foundation, has donated two newly built kidney dialysis centres to public health institutions in Anambra and Enugu states.

The move is part of activities to mark the church’s 70 years anniversary, contribute to ameliorating the plight of Nigerians diagnosed with kidney diseases, strengthen healthcare infrastructure across Nigeria.

The centres are Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Centre, Comprehensive Medical Centre, Awkuzu, Anambra State and Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Centre University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital Enugu.

Each of the centres has three units of dialysis machines and a medical water reserve osmosis purification system, while the centre in Enugu has a 30KVA generator.

This brings the total number of donated ultra-modern intensive care centres to 15 across the country.

The Assistant Continental Overseer/Intercontinental Overseer, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Pastor Idowu, said: “The gesture was aimed at alleviating the sufferings of kidney patients and providing affordable treatment to the less privileged across the South East region of Nigeria and in line with the vision of Adeboye to provide medical intervention to the poor.

“His Love Foundation has worked continuously to improve the well-being of citizens. As a step towards promoting healthcare, we have donated 48 dialysis machines. This will make affordable dialysis treatment available to patients in towns of various districts, closer to their homes. We believe this initiative will offer conveniences of time and cost for patients, as they no longer have to travel to big cities for dialysis.”
