The Guardian learnt that the incident took place at Anara Junction, Isiala Mbano Local Council of Imo State.
Okeoma, in a statement, yesterday, regretted losing his mother early, after the deceased trained five of her children and was enjoying the fruit of her labour.
“With a heavy heart, I write to announce the death of my beloved mother, Eziada Patricia Okeoma.
“My mother was killed by a reckless driver on Thursday, August 24, at Anara in the Isiala Mbano Local Council of Imo State.
“This wickedness came after my mother, who traded to train her five children, gradually started to enjoy the fruits of her labour.
“I am deeply shocked, devastated and downcast. This is the saddest moment of my life. Do put me and my family members in your prayers,” the journalist wrote.
