The Renewed Hope Ambassadors has urged political actors to desist from politicising the development projects of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, insisting that his administration has delivered significant infrastructure across Northern Nigeria.

In a statement following a media tour of Federal Government projects in the Northwest in collaboration with the Presidential Media Team, the group dismissed claims that the Tinubu administration had neglected the North.

Signed by Tunde Rahman, the statement said the administration has executed 260 Special Intervention Projects nationwide under the Federal Ministry of Works, with 48 located in the Northwest — the highest among Nigeria’s geopolitical zones.

The inspection tour covered ongoing projects from Zuba Junction in the Abuja through Kaduna State, Kano State, Jigawa State and Kebbi State.

Key projects highlighted include the Abuja–Kaduna–Kano highway, featuring reinforced concrete pavement and solar lighting, and the Kaduna Western Bye-pass, which has reached about 50% completion after decades of delay.

The delegation also inspected the Kaduna–Kano–Katsina–Maradi railway project linking Nigeria to the Niger Republic, as well as major health and education infrastructure at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and Bayero University.

Other projects include irrigation schemes in Garko, ecological interventions, solar energy initiatives, and the North West Development Commission headquarters in Kano.

The group maintained that the scale and spread of ongoing projects reflect the administration’s commitment to Northern development, urging critics to verify progress on the ground rather than rely on political narratives ahead of 2027.
