Former presidential media aide, Reno Omokri has slammed AriseTV broadcaster Reuben Abati over what he claims is a politically biased interpretation of President Bola Tinubu recent declaration in Rivers State.

Omokri made the accusations in a viral video shared on Wednesday, in response to Abati’s analysis on Arise Television.

Abati, in the TV segment, had alleged that President Tinubu was overstepping his authority and acting like a dictator by suggesting that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) would have the power to make laws for Rivers State.

However, Omokri, in his dismmised Abati’s claim and stated that the President’s statement had been misrepresented.

“The President never said that. If you listen to the broadcast by the President on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, what the President said is that the new Administrator will not make any laws for Rivers State,” Omokri stated.

“However, he will be free to make regulations, and those regulations will be under the supervision of the Federal Executive Council and will be promulgated by the President. Listen to the President.

“The President did not say that the Administrator would make laws. What the President said clearly, again, is that the Administrator would make regulations under the supervision of the Federal Executive Council. Regulations, not laws.”
