The popular Ganaja Junction in Lokoja was a focal point yesterday when a tanker laden with premium motor spirit (PMS) tumbled and crashed, causing heavy traffic build up and halting movement of travellers.

Many motorists traveling across Lokoja from the North to the East were held up for hours as security operatives made frantic efforts to contain the traffic as the tanker completely blocked one lane of the road.

Deputy Sector Commander of Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Kogi State, Frank Ukwueze, who spoke to The Guardian on the remedial measures adopted by the command said they received an alert in the night of the crash and immediately deployed their standby rescue teem to man the place.
