Rotary Club Lagos Central donates furniture to School

The Rotary Club of Lagos Central has school tables and chairs to the students of Dolphin High School.

Speaking during the project inauguration, District Governor of the club, Dr. Jide Akeredolu, said that the move was in line with Rotary’s values of service to humanity, peaceful coexistence and humanitarian assistance.

He added that the chairs and tables were donated to the school to create an easy way of learning in a conducive environment for pupils to learn and develop themselves.

He said, “This is what Rotary is all about: selfless service to the people and community without expecting anything in return.”

The president, Rotary club Lagos central, Kikelomo Bello said research has been made on the needs of students around the area and that the urgent need of the student is chairs and desk.

“Apart from the donation of the chairs and tables, we have also contributed in the area of health care by donating a sick bay because good health condition is important, especially to the young pupils.”

Bello said: “Rotary club is a humanitarian group and giving to the less privilege, providing a good environment for the students to learn, and proper health facilities for citizens is our priority”

She advised the principal and teachers of the school to ensure good maintenance of the furniture.

The principal of the school Mrs. Pereira Aina while showing appreciation to the club noted that they have been supporting them for a long time now.

“We are so blessed and grateful to the club for choosing us. We are beneficiaries of your charity work.” She said.
