The District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110 comprising Lagos and Ogun states, Dr. Wale Ogunbadejo at the weekend paid a maiden visit to the Rotary Club of Ewutuntun, Oshodi, along Airport Road, Lagos.

He was received into Ewutuntun community by the president of the club, Victor Olutade Olowo and other members of the club, from where he paid a courtesy call on the Elewu of Ewuland, Oba Shakirudeen Adeshina Kuti.

The monarch commended the club for its impactful social interventions covering health, education, water sanitation and peace and security in the densely populated rural community land and like the proverbial Oliver Twist, requested for more. He pledged to make land available for any project the club intends to do in the area.

Responding, the District Governor promised to make the presence of Rotary more visible in the community in the six areas of focus, which include promoting peace, supporting education, fighting diseases, providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene, growing local economies and saving mothers and children.

Thereafter, the team visited some project site for inspection and commissioning. They included the water project and newly renovated Ayoni Primary Healthcare Centre in Mafoluku, Oshodi.
