The sacked House of Respresentatives member-elect for Nkwerre/Nwangele/Isu/Njaba Constituency of Imo State, Ugonna Ozuruigbo, yesterday vowed he would be part of members of the Ninth National Assembly who would be sworn in on June 11.

The Owerri Federal High Court last month sacked Ozuruigbo over alleged illegitimate nomination process on May 27, 2019.

Ozuruigbo spoke while reacting to a report that the Federal High Court of Appeal in Owerri had ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate, Kingsley Echendu, a Certificate of Return.

In a statement in Owerri, Ozuruigbo, through his media aide, Philip Dike, said that there was no truth in the speculation.

He said that until his appeal is heard, he remained the member-elect for the federal constituency.
