Sani Bello seeks stiffer laws against banditry, kidnapping

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger

Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has advocated for laws that will end banditry and kidnapping in the country.

The governor made the call while swearing in the new Chief Judge of the state, Justice Aisha Lami Bawa Bwari, at the government House, Minna.

Bello enjoined the judiciary and legislature to come up with stiffer penalty for bandits, kidnappers and their informants in the state.

He disclosed that some community members aided the activities of bandits and kidnapping, and therefore, they should all get the same sanction.
