The Director General, Media and Publicity to Kano State Governor, Mr. Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, has emerged the winner of 2023 political communicator of the year.

The award ceremony which took place on Friday night at Tahir Guest Palace, Kano, was organised by the Arewa Agenda in partnership with PR Nigeria.

Sanusi was recognised due to his contribution in running harmless media campaigns before, during and after elections.

While delivering the award, Chairman PR Nigeria, Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule said Sanusi Bature has taken political communication to a new dimension through strategic engagement with stakeholders including those in the opposition.

While commending Sanusi on the award, Yusha’u Shuaibu, the Managing Director of Image Merchant, described the recipient as an energetic spokesperson who is dedicated to his duties and ready to deliver exceptionally.

During the ceremony, 30 youths under 30 years of age were also awarded in various categories of human endeavours.
