Sanusi must submit to Kano authorities, group insists
Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, has been told to submit himself to the state authorities to end the crisis between the emirate and state government.
Addressing a press conference yesterday at American Corner, Murtala Mohammed Library, Kano, Concerned Civil Society Group insisted that Sanusi should obey the new laws or face the consequence.
Worried by the unnecessary “destruction and generation of controversy”, the Kano-based group demanded the state government to deploy its constitutional powers against any element undermining the peace of the state.
Chairman of the group, Ibrahim Ali, insisted Sanusi should respect the new emirate laws.
