Sanwo-Olu, Emmanuel, Eno, others to grace UEC’s 136th yearly confab

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and his Akwa Ibom counterpart, Umo Eno, are eminent personalities expected as Special Guests of Honour at the United Evangelical Church’s 136th yearly conference beginning today (Monday) in Lagos to Friday.

Other dignitaries expected at the church, formerly known as Qua Iboe Church, include the immediate past governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel; Lagos State House of Assembly member, Desmond Elliot; Onitire of Itire, Oba Tajudeen Ishola and President of the Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN), Most Rev. (Dr.) Benebo Fubara Manuel, among others.

A statement jointly signed by the co-host and Chairman of the planning committee, Rev. Idorenyin James, and Elder Imeh Etuk stated that the conference would be held at the Lagos Township Superintendency Headquarters of the church near Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos, with the grand opening ceremony set for December 6, 2023 at 10.00 a.m., and would be declared open by the host, Chairman of Conference of the Church, Rev. (Dr.) Samuel Ebukiba.

The theme of the five-day conference, according to the statement, is “Going from Strength to Strength.”
