Sanwo-Olu urges women to break boundaries

The Chairman of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, has underscored the need to encourage women to be self-confident and break boundaries to breast the tape in whatever field they desire.   
Speaking on Tuesday at the 24th National Women’s Convention of COWLSO, Sanwo-Olu maintained that when women soar beyond boundaries, they will enrich communities and this brings unique in governance, promotes transparency, accountability, and social justice, ensuring that diverse voices are heard to advocate for policies that address the needs of all citizens. 
   
She added: “Their involvement inhibiting women from becoming independent and realizing their full potential will be significantly addressed and considered in decision-making processes.

“It is my belief that with this conference, the various challenges we will be inspired from the various intellectual conversations at this event.”

Sanwo-Olu noted that women, globally are challenging the status quo by contributing immensely to the world economy, working hard, and positively influencing the world with transformative contributions.
   
The Lagos State governor’s wife provided the details of activities, programmes, and projects the COWLSO carried out in the last year, stating that more can be done for better impact.
 
“A lot has been put into this conference and we must not allow it to go to waste. It must not end up as a talk show We must push ourselves beyond our set (known and unknown) boundaries,” she said.
