Sanwo-Olu’s wife tasks parents on responsive parenting

Warns against shifting responsibility to schools, other

The wife of Lagos State Governor, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, yesterday, implored parents, guardians and caregivers to pay adequate attention to children by providing proper parenting. She also urged them not to shift their responsibilities to schools or people outside the family.

The governor’s wife, who spoke during a programme to mark the 2022 International Day of the Boy- Child under the Lagos Boy- Child Initiative, with the theme: “Parenting the 21st Century Boy Child: A Pathway to Transformation in Lagos,” advised that conscious efforts must be made to educate the boy-child properly and engender transformation so that the society could positively be impacted.

She added that the state was keen on building a new generation of transformed male children who will contribute positively to the society.
