The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, have notified residents in the FCT and environs that it would carry-out a scenario-based simulation exercise at the Jabi Lake Mall from 6.00 a.m. to noon today.

A statement signed yesterday in Abuja by the FCT Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Manzah Anjuguri, said the exercise aimed at fostering synergy among security agencies and to help test the preparedness of response to emergencies.

The statement read: “The FCT Police Command wishes to notify residents that the Nigeria Police Force in collaboration with other security agencies will carry-out a scenario-based simulation exercise at Jabi Lake Mall on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 6:00 a.m. to noon.

“FCT residents are, therefore, advised not to panic when they notice the mass movement of security agents and heavy security equipment to Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory.”

Anjuguri, however, advised FCT residents to use alternative routes as the major roads leading to Jabi Lake mall would be blocked during the exercise.
