Concerned about his alleged link to banditry, terrorism financing, kidnapping and other violent crimes, the representative of Bauchi South Senatorial District, Senator Shehu Buba, has declared his readiness to face prosecution if found culpable of any criminal offence.
   
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Livestock and Animal Husbandry made the declaration while addressing newsmen in Bauchi yesterday, even as he denied the allegations.
   
Buba, who is also the 2027 governorship candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the state, said he had voluntarily submitted himself to relevant security agencies for investigation, insisting that he had “nothing to hide” and “nothing to fear” in any credible investigation.
   
According to him, the allegations had been repeatedly circulated to the extent of becoming a national security concern.
  
He disclosed that his previous engagements with military, intelligence and other security agencies were in his capacity as a senator involved in national security matters, and were aimed at addressing banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and other violent crimes in the country.
   
Addressing the security agencies, Buba pledged his full cooperation and urged those making the allegations to present whatever available evidence to the appropriate authorities.
