The upper legislative chamber’s spokesperson, Senator Ajibola Basiru, confirmed the development to reporters at the National Assembly complex in Abuja.
President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, who presided over the plenary, explained that the two-day debate continues today.
President Buhari had last Thursday presented an N16.39 trillion budget proposal for the 2022 fiscal year.
