No fewer than 6,000 farmers in the Ondo North Senatorial District of Ondo State have benefited from the distribution of fertilisers facilitated by the Senator representing the area, Jide Ipinsagba.

According to Ipinsagba during the distribution, the initiative was part of efforts to encourage food security and boost farming activities in the state, assuring that adequate attention will be given to agricultural development.

Ipinsagba, who was represented by the Elewe of Okela, Ikare-Akoko, and High Chief Ojo Ademuwagun, stressed that the fertiliser distribution was part of the lawmaker’s promise to ensure food production in the senatorial district.

According to him, the initiative aligns with the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu on agricultural development, stating it is a key component of the nation’s economic growth.

He vowed to give adequate attention to the needs of the people of the senatorial district in terms of the dividends of democracy, emphasising that every age, grade, and gender in the senatorial district would be given priority support.

Some of the benefiting farmers, Chief Clement Adeloye from Eti-Oro, Akoko South-West Local Council, Foluso Afolabi from Owo Local Council, and Oluwafemi Agbogun, expressed their gratitude over the gesture and promised to make judicious use of the fertiliser.
