The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has met with the family of former Vice President Alex Ekwueme in London.

A statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media And Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed this yesterday.

He said while in London, the SGF would convey President Muhammadu Buhari’s goodwill message to the ailing former vice president, who is being treated in a London hospital.

Ekwueme was rushed to the hospital in an air ambulance, in what was described as a critical condition.

Ekwueme’s wife, Helen, received the SGF, who was in London before the arrival of the ex-vice president.

Mustapha told the Ekwueme family that the president and all Nigerians were praying for the speedy recovery of the elder statesman.

He expressed confidence in the doctors’ ability to do their best.
