Elder statesman and former Minister of Mines and Petroleum in the First Republic, Alhaji Shetimma Ali Munguno has died at the age of 83.

He passed away yesterday evening at his Government Reservation Area (GRA) residence in Maiduguri. He will be buried today according to Islamic rites by 2:00pm.
