Shinkafi welcomes Governor Lawal to APC

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governorship candidate in Zamfara State, Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, on Tuesday welcomed the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, into the fold of the ruling party.

Shinkafi described the development as a significant and progressive step that would further strengthen the unity, stability, and political influence of the APC in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.

In a statement, the APC chieftain said Governor Lawal’s decision to join the ruling party reflects a commitment to collaboration and collective efforts aimed at advancing the welfare of the people and accelerating development in the state.

According to him, the APC remains a broad political platform that accommodates leaders and stakeholders genuinely committed to good governance, peace, and sustainable development.

Shinkafi called on party members, supporters, and the people of Zamfara State to warmly welcome the governor and work together in the spirit of unity and progress for the benefit of the state and the nation.

He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peace, development, and democratic consolidation in Zamfara State.

The APC chieftain also expressed confidence that the party would secure victory in upcoming elections in the state and deliver Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, just as it did in the 2023 poll.

Shinkafi urged party members to set aside political differences and work collectively for the growth and consolidation of the party in Zamfara State.

He also encouraged eligible citizens to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), obtain their Permanent Voter Cards, and vote massively for the APC in future elections in support of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said is laying the foundation for economic prosperity, improved national security, and unity.
