Sirika gets documents for concessioning of airports
The plan by the Federal Government to concession its four international airports in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano, received a boost yesterday, as the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, received the Outline Business Case Certificates of Compliance for the exercise from the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC).
Taking possession of the documents from the Director-General of ICRC, Chidi Izuwah, in Abuja, the minister stated: “With these certificates of compliance, we will go ahead to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for approval for the full business of concession to proceed, and that will turn the airport terminals to its full potential in private hands, as millions of dollars would be pumped into the airports.”
