Oduduwa Sons and Daughters for Equity and Justice, has asked stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to concede the 2023 presidential ticket to the South East for fairness, justice and equity.

Oduduwa Sons and Daughters for Equity and Justice, has asked stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to concede the 2023 presidential ticket to the South East for fairness, justice and equity.

The group, which also dismissed the sentiment that the Igbo might not have a presidential candidate on APC’s platform in the 2023 general elections, urged all Yoruba people to support the presidential aspiration of former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.

Speaking at a Town Hall meeting in Lagos, yesterday, National Coordinator of the group, Ebunola Martins, said for Nigeria to remain united, strong and viable, the South East region should be considered for the presidency in 2023.

He also disclosed that all Yoruba indigenes in Nigeria have met and discovered that Okorocha was capable of uniting, building, operating and developing the country.

The group, which comprises representatives from Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun and Ekiti, said its resolution is that “Rochas Okorocha is the only presidential aspirant the Yoruba trust, because he will not divide the country.”

“He built the Rochas Foundation College, Ibadan for our children to obtain free education from primary to secondary. He has been supporting the less privileged in the North with schools in Yola, Bauchi, Kano, Sokoto, Zaria, and other cities in Nigeria. We trust Okorocha because he will not betray us.”

The group enjoined the Yoruba to support Okorocha’s aspiration on the ground that he had proved himself to be a detribalised Nigerian, who would not betray any ethnic nationality.
