The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has vowed to defend themselves against attacks by armed bandits and kidnappers, following the worsening security challenges in the state, which affects a greater part of the area.

The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has vowed to defend themselves against attacks by armed bandits and kidnappers, following the worsening security challenges in the state, which affects a greater part of the area.

Consequently, it resolved to establish a “natural security outfit” to defend themselves against invaders and killers.

Speaking on a radio programme with Invicta Radio, its National Publicity Secretary, Luka Biniyat, said the state has put up little or no effort to protect Southern Kaduna people, which had made the area vulnerable to attacks.

Biniyat said, “The security outfit will have our people defend themselves, despite the fact that we don’t have the finances and legal backing, we intend to defend ourselves naturally.

“Our youths and women are ready to henceforth defend themselves against whoever comes to attack us.”
