Stakeholders have called on leaders to embrace change as a strategic tool to navigate the future. The call was made yesterday in Lagos State during the Institute of Change Management’s (ICM) yearly conference, themed ‘Navigating to the Future: Synchronising People, Processes, and Technology for the Next Era of Change,’ which brought together top professionals and innovators.
Founder of Zinox Group, Leo Ekeh, in his keynote address, emphasised the need for innovation, resilience, and continuous learning in mastering the complexities of the modern world.
Ekeh, who was represented by Chris Uwaje, said the time had come for organisations and leaders to think outside the box, stressing that peace and disruption are two sides of the same coin in today’s global environment.
He said leadership must be intentional, values-driven, and adaptive to foster transformational change, noting that leaders should inspire and empower their teams by cultivating a culture grounded in empathy, humility, creativity, and trust.
Ekeh urged stakeholders to move from incremental change to transformational change, invest in skills development, and groom change champions capable of driving future-ready solutions.
Earlier in his welcome address, the President of ICM, Nat Osewele, noted that the theme speaks directly to the challenges and opportunities shaping today’s business and socio-economic landscape and reflects a collective commitment to shaping the future with intention, innovation, and integrity.
