As Easter draws near, a Nigerian gospel artist, Susan Peter has officially released her new single, “Because of Me,” a song that reflects on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice and the victory of His resurrection.

“Because of Me” is a deeply reflective song inspired by the Easter season, capturing both the weight of Christ’s sacrifice and the victory of His resurrection.

Peter explained that the song was born from a personal realization, not just that Christ died for us, but that He went through it because of us.

“It expresses, in simple yet powerful words, the pain, shame, and suffering He endured, while also revealing the purpose behind it all: that we may live, bear His name, and share in His victory.

“The latter part of the song shifts into celebration, declaring the reality of the empty grave that Jesus is alive, sin and death are conquered, and we now walk in freedom, wholeness, and new life,” she explained.

She added that “Because of Me” is more than a song; it is a call to reflection, gratitude, and a deeper understanding of the finished work of Christ.
