Abia State government has confirmed the arrest of the facility manager of Aba Textile Mills and two staff members over alleged vandalism and theft of the company’s property.

Although the identities of the suspects and the dates of the incident were not disclosed, Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, said the suspects are currently in detention.

Speaking with The Guardian yesterday after the weekly State Executive Council meeting, Kanu warned individuals engaging in the theft and destruction of government property to desist or face the full weight of the law.
