Synod urges Buhari to ease socio-economic burden, insecurity

The Federal Government has been urged to ease the heavy social economic burden Nigerians are grappling with.

The Bishop, Anglican Diocese of Lagos Mainland, Rt. Revd. Akinpelu Johnson, speaking at the diocese’s 5th Synod at All Saints’ Anglican Church, Yaba, Lagos said there was hardship in the land.

While congratulating the President and his vice, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo on their re-election, the cleric reminded them that they now have the opportunity to complete projects already started, as well as build on the successes of their first four years.

Also, Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Lagos, at its 57th Annual Synod, said cases of kidnapping and insecurity are on the rise nationwide.

In the communiqué by Bishop of the Diocese, His Grace, the Most Rev. (Dr) Isaac Ayobami Olawuyi, the development is disquieting and unacceptable.
