Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal is bereaved. His father, Sheikh Haruna Tambuwal, passed on yesterday at 96 years of age.

The nonagenarian transited after a brief illness at his residence in Tambuwal Council of Sokoto.

He is survived by children, including the governor, as well as grand children and great grand children.

Being a devout Muslim, he has been buried according to Islamic rites.
