Taraba: Armed bandits attack correspondents’ secretariat, cart away valuables

Items worth millions of naira were carted away, yesterday, from the secretariat of the Taraba State chapter of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) by suspected armed bandits.

Items worth millions of naira were carted away, yesterday, from the secretariat of the Taraba State chapter of the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) by suspected armed bandits.

The robbers invaded the office located along Hamaruwa way in Jalingo metropolis, and carted away valuables, which include Sony Plasma TV, generating set, DSTV decoder, automatic voltage regulator, computers, among others.

State Chairman of the Chapel, Wole Ayodele, deplored the incident and appealed to the state government to fulfill its promise to relocate the Chapel to a safer and conducive place to avert a reoccurrence.
