The historic Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos is set to host a large-scale Christian gathering on Friday, September 12, as Christ Embassy stages its “Night of Blessings,” led by Pastor Deola Phillips. The event is part of the church’s broader ministry activities in Lagos and is expected to draw thousands of worshippers.
According to the organisers, the service will focus on prayer, restoration, and spiritual renewal, with an emphasis on healing, empowerment, and transformation. In preparation for the gathering, Christ Embassy launched a four-day free medical outreach at TBS, running from September 9 to 12. The outreach provides consultations, vision care, eye surgeries, and the distribution of medications, reflecting the church’s stated commitment to addressing both physical and spiritual needs.
Pastor Phillips, speaking ahead of the event, described the gathering as a significant spiritual convocation. “This is not just another programme. It is a night where blessings will be freely dispensed, where new worlds will be created, and new destinies will be birthed. God will restore, replace, and distinguish His people,” she said. She further assured attendees of a night marked by powerful manifestations and spiritual renewal.
Organisers have confirmed that security agencies, medical volunteers, and transport providers will be deployed to ensure smooth access to the square. Shuttle buses will operate from key points across Lagos, and arrangements have been made for parking and crowd management to facilitate the expected turnout.
For Lagos, where large religious gatherings are a common feature of the social calendar, Friday’s event at TBS represents another high-profile occasion at one of the city’s most symbolic public spaces, combining spiritual engagement with community health initiatives.
