TCN flays TUC’s planned protest today
Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), yesterday in Abuja, described the planned protest, today, by Trade Union Congress (TUC) as needless and ill-motivated.
The company equally insisted that it was not experiencing industrial disharmony as claimed by TUC.Reacting to media reports credited to TUC of an intention to protest today against its management, the power firm’s General Manager, Public Affairs, Ndidi Mbah, said there was no iota of truth in TUC’s claim of industrial disharmony in the company.
Accusing the president of the Senior Staff Association of Electricity and Allied Companies (SSAEAC), Chris Okonkwo, of hiding under TUC after mismanaging public fund, Mba urged TUC not to allow itself to be used to pursue personal agenda.
“TUC was ill-informed by president of SSAEAC, Chris Okonkwo, who lost the support of TCN staff in his misguided bid to use the association to advance his selfish interest,” Mba said.
