Technology firm, Spark Union Capital Inc., has provided educational materials to about 220 disadvantaged pupils of Liberty School, Ilaje, Ibadan, as part of its Back-to-School and Youth Education Charity Outreach aimed at supporting access to quality education.

The outreach, organised in partnership with local event management firm, Pertojiny Managers, targeted pupils of the free school, which caters for children from low-income families and those rescued from the streets.

Beneficiaries received learning materials including 20 dozen notebooks, 25 mathematical sets, 250 pens, five dozen sets of pencils, sharpeners and erasers, as well as 25 school bags, 25 water bottles and 25 food flasks.

According to the company, the initiative was designed to ease the burden on vulnerable families while encouraging children to remain in school and pursue their education.

Spark Union Capital said the outreach reflects its commitment to expanding educational opportunities and investing in the future of young people through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programmes.

The company, which focuses on blockchain technology and asset digitalisation, noted that supporting education aligns with its broader vision of empowering the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and professionals.

It added that its CSR priorities include promoting education, healthcare, youth empowerment, community development, humanitarian assistance and environmental sustainability.

Spark Union Capital said it plans to extend similar educational interventions to more communities and countries in collaboration with governments, schools, non-governmental organisations and local partners.

The company commended teachers, volunteers and parents for their support in ensuring the success of the outreach and encouraged the pupils to remain committed to their studies and become responsible members of society.

Chief Executive Officer of Spark Union Capital, Dzmitry Kisel, said the initiative underscored the company’s commitment to creating lasting social impact through investments in education and community development.
