The Guardian wins NG best print media website award

NIRA Award
Again, the flagship of the Nigerian media, The Guardian, has been crowned Best Print Media Website at the .NG Awards, organised by the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), the country’s domain name registrar.
Declaring The Guardian winner at the weekend, during the event in Lagos, which attracted stakeholders in Nigeria’s Internet ecosystem, NIRA said the newspaper platform gathered the highest vote from the general public in a poll conducted for over 10 nominees in the Best Print Media Website category.
“The Guardian is, hereby, declared the winner in the Best Print Media Website category after acquiring the highest votes among the 10 nominees shortlisted for the award,” NIRA said.
According to the President of NIRA, Adesola Akinsanya, the .NG Awards is part of the association’s effort to celebrate innovations in the Nigerian digital space, especially in the Internet ecosystem.
“The .NG Awards go beyond mere accolades; they represent a collective acknowledgment of the dedication, brilliance and impactful contributions that define those who strive to make a meaningful difference,” he said.
He added that recognition to The Guardian and others, who won the awards in various categories, serve as a guiding beacon that will propel them to move forward and stand as a testament to the burgeoning growth of the Nigerian Internet space.
