The General Overseer of Victory Life Bible Church International (VLBC), Abeokuta, Ogun State, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, who is also one of the contributors to The Guardian’s Ibru Page, a religious column, has lost his wife, Reverend Fola Achudume.

The sad event, according to the church, occurred on Saturday, August 3, 2024. Achudume died at the age of 55. She is survived by her husband, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, four children and an aged father.

Since her death, Nigerians have continued to send condolences to the family and the church. A statement from the church described the late Achudume’s legacy of love, wisdom and unwavering faith in the Lord as uncommon, adding that she would be greatly missed by generations to come.

Recalling her role as a teacher, pastor, mentor, role model and mother, the church said: “She touched countless lives, inspired many to grow in their faith and walk closely with the Lord.”

The church said her burial arrangements would commence on August 21, with lying-in-state at the Achudume residence in Abeokuta at 12p.m; and Life Cathedral (VLBC), Ajebo Road, Abeokuta at 3p.m.

While night of tributes hold same day at Life Cathedral (VLBC), Ajebo at 4p.m. On August 22, there will be celebration of life at Life Cathedral (VLBC), Abeokuta at 10a.m; while thanksgiving service holds on Sunday, August 25, at Life Cathedral (VLBC), Ajebo Road, Abeokuta at 8a.m.
