The Federal government has approved the appointment of Sunday Thomas as the Acting Commissioner for the National Insurance Commission [NAICOM] pending the appointment of a substantive Commissioner to head the organization.

Until his appointment, Thomas was a Deputy Commissioner of the commission. The approval was contained in a statement signed yesterday by the Deputy Director, Home Finance, Abdulazeez Bello on behalf of the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance.
