The Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Zacch Adedeji, has said President Bola Tinubu eats only once a day, as he defended the President against allegations of living lavishly amid the economic hardship facing Nigerians.
Zacch Adedeji made the claim while appearing on Channels Television’s where he was questioned about the lifestyle of political office holders against the backdrop of rising living costs and economic pressures.
Defending Tinubu, Adedeji said the President does not maintain an extravagant lifestyle despite occupying the country’s highest political office.
He said Tinubu typically walks from his residence to his office and only uses a vehicle when travelling to the airport.
Adedeji also said the President eats only once a day, citing his eating habits and daily routine as evidence that Tinubu does not live lavishly.
The remarks come amid continued public debate over the lifestyle of political office holders, particularly as Nigerians contend with the rising cost of living and broader economic pressures.
