…Highlights the role of the private sector in strengthening rural health systems
President Bola Tinubu has commended renowned legal practitioner, Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), for donating a modern healthcare facility to Ikere-Ekiti in Ekiti State, describing the gesture as a significant contribution to improving access to quality healthcare at the grassroots.
The President gave the commendation during the commissioning of the facility, noting that private sector involvement in social infrastructure development remains critical to bridging gaps in public services, particularly in the health sector.
Tinubu praised Olanipekun’s philanthropy and commitment to community development, stating that such interventions complement government efforts in expanding healthcare delivery and improving the well-being of Nigerians.
He emphasized that partnerships between public office holders, private individuals, and communities are essential in achieving sustainable development, especially in underserved areas where access to medical services remains limited.
The newly donated facility in Ikere-Ekiti is expected to enhance healthcare access for residents, reduce pressure on existing public hospitals, and improve emergency and primary care services within the region.
Olanipekun, in his remarks, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that uplift his community, adding that the donation was part of his broader effort to give back to society and promote development in Ekiti State.
The event was attended by government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders who described the project as a timely intervention that will significantly improve healthcare delivery in the area.
