The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dr. Dennis Brutu Otuaro, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the third anniversary of his administration, describing the past three years as marked by bold reforms and significant national progress.
Otuaro said President Tinubu assumed office with a clear vision through his Renewed Hope Agenda and has demonstrated courage and determination in tackling Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.
According to him, the administration’s decisive policies and reforms have placed the country on the path of economic recovery, socio-political stability, and shared prosperity.
He noted that President Tinubu’s economic reforms, strategic policies, and governance initiatives have contributed to stabilising the economy while strengthening the nation’s security architecture to protect lives and promote economic growth.
Otuaro also commended the President’s diplomatic engagements and efforts at strengthening bilateral relations, saying they have improved Nigeria’s international standing and attracted increased foreign direct investment.
“President Tinubu has restored the confidence of the international community in Nigeria, and the country is accorded respect among the comity of nations,” he said.
The PAP boss further highlighted improvements in the oil and gas sector, stating that enhanced collaboration between security agencies and private security firms engaged by the Federal Government has helped curb pipeline vandalism and crude oil theft in the Niger Delta.
According to him, the coordinated efforts have increased Nigeria’s oil production output from about 1.4 million barrels per day in 2023 to approximately 1.8 million barrels per day.
Otuaro applauded the President for initiatives aimed at transforming the Niger Delta and sustaining peace and stability in the region.
He said Tinubu’s support for reforms within the Presidential Amnesty Programme and the approval of increased budgetary allocations had expanded scholarship opportunities, vocational training programmes, and other empowerment initiatives for beneficiaries.
“The President’s backing of the reforms we have carried out in the PAP and his gracious approval of upward budgetary review have resulted in the expansion of educational scholarship opportunities, vocational training, and other initiatives,” he stated.
“His unprecedented support has also helped us deepen our policy of inclusivity, foster fruitful stakeholder engagements, and strengthen the peacebuilding process for sustainable peace and development in the region. We owe these achievements to his fatherly support.”
Otuaro also cited major projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the establishment of the South-South Development Commission, the Federal University of Environment and Technology in Ogoniland, and the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, as critical interventions driving socio-economic development in the Niger Delta.
He described President Tinubu’s emergence as the APC’s consensus candidate for the 2027 presidential election as a demonstration of the confidence party members and supporters have in his leadership.
According to him, the outcome reflects growing support for the President ahead of the 2027 general elections and provides an opportunity for the administration to consolidate on its achievements.
Otuaro urged the people of the Niger Delta to continue supporting President Tinubu and reciprocate what he described as the President’s commitment to the region by voting massively for him in 2027.
