‘Tinubu/Shettima ticket best deal for Nigeria’

The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Shettima ticket as the best deal for the country, saying that the duo when elected would bring on board good governance.

Abiodun who made this known during the unveiling of the Ogun State All Progressives Congress campaign secretariat at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, tagged ‘IGBEGA 2023’, called on party embers to work together as a team as the 2023 general elections draw closer.

He further disclosed that the state would be hosting the year 2024 National University Games (NUGA).

He said: “ Our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kassim Shettima are the best without a doubt, both are former governors, legislatures, that have both implemented programs that have transformed and propelled both states that they governed.

“Today, as we unveil this campaign council, I urge you all to work together as a team even as we sell our programs and manifestos to the good people of Ogun State, we must work as hard as we did three years and six months ago, we must engage in constructive and issue based campaign in line with the provision of the electoral law and rule of engagement.

“We have bided successfully for the year 2024 National University Games (NUGA), so Ogun State will be hosting the year 2024 National University Games, this is because we place a premium on youth engagement and development as we see sport as a platform for that,” he said.

The state helmsman who also noted that he is confident of winning the forth coming general election, said that his determination is to win convincingly.

“I don’t have a doubt that we will win this election, I don’t have a doubt about that because we have worked very hard to keep our promises, we have justified that mandate entrusted to us as seen by our people oriented project spread across the state.

“My determination is to win convincingly, not just to win, but to do convincingly, I have no doubt that we have chosen that winning team,” he said.

The Grand Patron of the Ogun State All Progressives Congress Campaign Council and former governor of the state, Chief Olusegun Osoba, who noted that the Permanent Voter’s Card is the real vote, said that about five million permanent voter’s card are yet to be collected in the South West.

He called for the education of voter’s in the state through the showcasing of the party emblem.

Chief Osoba while expressing his happiness at the developmental stride of Governor Dapo Abiodun across the state, called for the support of everyone to actualize the victory of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dapo Abiodun during the forth coming general elections.

“ This election is at the grassroots, in the South West, we have the highest uncollected PVCs, almost five million, very disgraceful,. I want to urge you to come out  to ensure that our people go and collect their permanent voter’s card, the collection of the PVC is the beginning and end of election.

“ For this forth coming election, the broom is vital in all that we do, because the broom is the symbol you are going to see on the day of election, not all your fine faces, I am not saying you shouldn’t use your pictures on the posters, let the broom show in our posters, because it is the broom we are voting for.

The Deputy Grand Patron of the Ogun State APC Campaign Council and also the Senatorial candidate of Ogun East Senatorial District, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, described Dapo Abiodun as a master chess player. He assured that, he alongside others, who left their comfort zone in 2019 could not afford failure and would work to ensure that he wins the forth coming election.

Daniel who also noted that no one can fault the performance of the Governor in the last three and half years, said that he has the belief that victory is certain for the governor in 2023.

The Ogun State Chairman, All Progressives Congress; Chief Yemi Sanusi who admonished all the candidates of the party to buckle up and complement the efforts of Governor Dapo Abiodun, noted that with their support, victory is certain for the party.

A former Deputy Governor of the state and former Director General of the Dapo Abiodun Campaign organisation in the 2019 general election, Prince Segun Adesegun who spoke in behalf of the Ogun East Senatorial District while describing Governor Abiodun as second to non in the state, said that he has so much belief in the victory of Governor Abiodun in the forth coming general elections.

Speaking on behalf of Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Obadara while commending the Governor for his giant strides in the district, noted that the district will do everything in their capacity to ensure the success of the governor during the forth coming general elections.

Senator Solomon Adeola while speaking on behalf of the Ogun West Senatorial District who commended the governor for not been partial with the distribution of developmental projects across the state, added that the district would be delivered 100% for Governor Abiodun.

The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly Rt. Hon Olakunle Oluomo who spoke on behalf of other members of the house, noted that the twenty-six state constituencies would be delivered for Governor Abiodun.

The House of Representative Candidate for Imeko-Afon and Yewa-North Federal Constituency, Prince Gboyega Isiaka who noted that the nine Federal Constituencies would be delivered  for the emergence of the Governor, opined that he is confident of victory for the party.

Former Chief of Staff to Governor Dapo Abiodun and the Senatorial candidate of Ogun Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Afolabi Salisu who commended the governor for bringing everyone back under one roof through his open door policy, assured that the district would be delivered for the governor.

Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin who called for unity in the party, called on sons and daughters of yorubaland to leave sentiment and vote for the TINUBU/Shettima ticket.

Folarin while also commending the Governor for the love he has for the state, noted that Governor Dapo Abiodun is the best deal for the state.
