Executive Director of The Guardian, Mr. Tive Alex-Ibru, and other dignitaries have condoled with the family of Chief Sekin Jaja Amachree over the demise of their daughter, Pastor Mina Cole, aged 77, who passed away on October 1, 2021.

Speaking in Abuja on the night of tributes, Tive Alex-Ibru described the deceased as a God-fearing woman who brought many close to God through her preaching. He said the Ibru family would hardly forget the late Cole, who was very dear to the heart of his mother.

Assistant General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, who noted that Cole lived for God, urged her children to rejoice rather than mourn.

“Rejoice that your mother made the choice to serve the Lord. She was solidly on the ground for the RCCG. So, I give glory to God for her legacy. Mama is where Jesus is right now. When faithful people pass away, they are in the Lord’s presence.

“There is no reason to mourn because our mummy lived her life in the bosom of the Lord. That is why the Bible says it is appointed unto man a time to live and a time to die. The question is: how are we preparing for the time when it comes? We must not cry because our mummy is with the Lord and has moved into a mansion,” Odeyemi said.

He further charged members of the family to give their lives to Christ as the late Cole did, adding that the unity she preached will resonate continually.

Delivering the deceased’s biography, Vanessa Cole said she led many of the people around her to Jesus. “Some of these people gave their lives to Christ and became pastors; instruments for spreading the gospel. A large portion of the growth in the eastern part of Nigeria started after the mummy preached to one person. The land on which the provincial headquarters of her province sits today was donated by someone she preached to,” she said.
