Traditional rulers commend Sule on development

Some traditional rulers in Nasarawa State have commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule of the state for the development of infrastructures across the state.

The District Head of Betti, Karshi Development Area of the state, Mr Haruna Umaru, noted that rural road constructions across the state by the present administration would check rural-urban migration, and poverty and improve the lives of the rural dwellers.

They spoke with newsmen on Saturday in their palaces in Betti, Nike, and Angwan Toni of Karshi Development Area of the state.

They commended Sule for the ongoing construction of a nine-kilometer Gauta/ Nike road to boost the socio-economic activities of the people of the area.

Umaru said that the construction of the road if completed would boost agricultural production, and revenue base and improve the standard of living of the people of the area and its environs

“We thank the governor for coming to our aid as the construction of the road will boost our socio-economic activities and standard of living,” he said

Also, Alhaji Abdullahi Bala, the Village Head of Nike said “before now, if one is coming from Keffi to Nike, you will spend more than two hours but now with the construction of the road, you will just spend 15 minutes.

“The construction of this road will not only boost agricultural production but will also boost the revenue base and socio-economic activities of out people,” he said.

Mr Abdullahi Mairiga, the village head of Angwan Toni, also thanked the governor for improving on the standard of living of the area through the construction of the road.

The traditional rulers also commended Mr Mohammed Isah Bello, the member representing Uke/ Karshi Constituency at the state house of assembly for his contributions to the development of the constituency.

The traditional rulers further urged their subjects and other people to continue to co-exist peacefully for development to thrive.

The traditional rulers appealed to the governor to provide electricity, health, water, and more classrooms in Nike primary school.

Mr Adamu Soja, the Fulani leader in Nike community also appreciated the governor for constructing the road and appealed to him to construct a nomadic school in the community.
