No fewer than two persons have been in cult battles in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

The crisis has also sacked the village head of  Udianga Enem community, Chief Mendie Josiah Udoekoriko, who fled his throne.

Recall that a pastor was killed in his presence around his palace area a few years ago, while the cult war raged, forcing Governor Udom Emmanuel to offer amnesty, and several of them left the bush to drop their arms.

The latest incident, it was gathered, occurred on Monday night when a rival cult group said to be Iceland, led by one Oto, from Obon Ebot, stormed the Udianga Enem community to retrieve stolen items, allegedly seized by the opposing gang in the nearby community of Obong Ntak.
