Two suspected motorcycles thieves nabbed in Delta
The Police in Delta State have arrested two suspected motorcycle thieves in Ika South Council of Delta State.
The Guardian gathered that anti-cult volunteer corps in Abavo, led by one Miracle Okoh, apprehended the suspects on Saturday and handed them to Abavo Police Division for necessary actions.
Okoh said they got information from a community source that the three boys were about to sell a motorcycle in the town, and immediately mobilised to the scene.
According to him, the three boys on sighting the corps ran into the bush and the operative chased them and arrested two, but the other suspect fled.
The Corps’ Commandant said the hoodlums reportedly stole the motorcycle in Abraka town and left for Abavo to sell it, but were arrested in the process.
Okoh disclosed that the suspects have been handed over to the Abavo Divisional Police Headquarters for further investigation.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe could not be reached for comments as his phone was switched off when contacted.
