Akwa Ibom State governor and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Emmanuel Udom, has assured the people of Gombe and Bayelsa States of total rejuvenation of the economy and strategic security architecture if he is voted into office.

He was in the two states, yesterday, to solicit support for votes, ahead of the forthcoming primary of the PDP in Abuja, later this month.

Gombe delegates acknowledged the long-standing relationship they have had with Udom, assuring him of their friendship and support towards the realisation of his ambition.

They described Gombe as his second home and appreciated him for his long-term identification with the state and its illustrious sons and daughters. They added it was time to reward the aspirant.

Udom told his hosts that he has the sincerity and integrity to deliver the required solution to the nation’s economic and security challenges.

He told the delegates that the security architecture of the country would be redesigned to favour all, while a first-class economic transformation package would be formulated to benefit all citizens.

Chairman of the Udom Emmanuel Presidential Project, Dr. Gabriel Suswam, a senator and former Benue State governor, noted that an Udom Emmanuel presidency will benefit greatly Northern Nigeria and Gombe State in particular.

In Bayelsa, the top echelon of the PDP stressed that the country is in dire need of redemption.

Suswam, however, affirmed that the aspirant, being from the South-South region, understands the problems and will tackle them head-on.
