The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to 27 undergraduate academic programmes across seven faculties at the University of Ibadan (UI) for a period of five years.

The NUC, in a letter signed by its Executive Secretary, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, to UI Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, listed the fully accredited courses to include German, Igbo, Linguistics, Music, Philosophy and Theatre Arts, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiology, Physiotherapy and Environmental Health Science, Computer Science and Geology, among others.

The letter stated that the accreditation, which is not new, was consequent upon the one carried out in UI between October and November 2021.
