A member of Rotary Club of Lagos Palm Grove’ Estate, Rotary International, District 9111, Rotarian Onyinye Uchechi Ukwuegbu, has been awarded the Eminent Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates, United Nations Peace Volunteers.

This recognition of Ukwuegbu’s feat as a committed Rotarian to the execution of projects enshrined in the Rotary International seven areas of focus which includes Peace and Conflict Resolution, falls under the organisation’s Chartered Fellowship Award.

The Ambassadorial award which also is in recognition of Ukwuegbu’s humanitarian services and that of a proven stakeholder in the universal team of renders of helping hands to the less privileged was given the penultimate month.

In her response, Ambassador Rotarian Ukwuegbu said she felt honoured to receive the award and the title, adding that the recognition would spur her to continue the good work of promoting peace and harmony globally.

The award was presented by the Coordinator, International Association of World Peace Advocates, United Nations Peace Volunteers, Abuja chapter, Amb. Sunday Lawal.
